As is usual with search filters, the search results are displayed according to the relevance of the filter used.
The first step is to check how closely the search term matches the event. The event title, description and location are analysed.
This means that if your event is to be displayed first under the search term "summer dance", then the term must appear in the title. In the best case, only the search term is used as the title.
A title that only consists of "Sommertanz" therefore performs better in the search, as it is a 100% match, than a title that contains other terms or only contains one of the two terms.
As the organiser, you should consider under which search terms the event should appear. In our example, you could also call the event "Summer dance on Lake Thun". This way, a search for dance and Lake Thun would also show this event at the top of the search results.
In addition, the terms would also have to appear in the event description in order to achieve a good search result.
Most users also limit their search geographically or by date because they want events in their region or on a specific weekend. It can therefore be assumed that those who want to take part in the event will find it.
In addition to the tips above, there are other ways to gain more visibility.
