The Solothurn Entrepreneur Award is presented at the beginning of each year by the Canton of Solothurn, the Solothurn Chamber of Commerce and the Cantonal Solothurn Trade Association. The award honours companies for their "above-average entrepreneurial performance".
Innosuisse is the Swiss Agency for Innovation Promotion. It is a federal institution under public law with its own legal personality. Innosuisse's mission is to promote science-based innovation in the interests of the economy and society.

The Baloise Bank SoBa Ltd Foundation is committed to projects that provide sustainable impetus to the economy of the Canton of Solothurn. The InnoPrix SoBa is only awarded once a year for a particularly innovative project.
The Ticketfrog platform (now Eventfrog) was recognised on 22 November 2016 as a project that has a positive economic effect on the Solothurn economy and creates jobs. The feasibility of the project and its potential for economic success were also assessed favourably.
