About the Artist
Isabelle Anna - Paris, France
Born in an artistic environment and specially dedicated to the performing arts of India, Isabelle Anna started learning Bharata Natyam at the age of five. Along with a solid musical training, she studied classical ballet and drama until her entrance to the university where he develops his interest in literature and languages Foreign. In 1998, she discovered Kathak dance (Lucknow tradition) with Sharmila Sharma, disciple of Birju Maharaj, teacher at Centre Mandapa, Paris, founded and run by her parents.
She now runs Centre Mandapa and shares herself between Kathak recitals, her own choreographies and teaching.
