Upcycle Your Hat
Turn an everyday accessory into a unique statement piece.
In this workshop, we will explore different ways to transform and personalize hats and caps. You’ll experiment with creative techniques and materials, and take home a piece that fully reflects your own style.
You can, for example:
- Add rhinestone lettering with your name, a phrase, or a playful message
- Attach ears, horns, spikes, or other shapes for bold silhouettes
- Incorporate buttons, faux piercings, safety pins, or chains for a punk/experimental look
- Use fabric paint, spray, or markers to create illustrations and graphic designs
- Deconstruct and rebuild parts of the hat to invent unexpected forms
- Play with fabric scraps, lace, leather, or ribbons for new textures and contrasts
👉 Bring your own hat/cap to give it a new life, or choose one at the workshop to start from scratch.
No previous experience is required: sew, glue, paint, cut—anything goes. The focus is on experimenting, trying things out, and finding your personal style.
