Die Flamme lodre durch den Rauch, begeht den alten heil'gen Brauch!

Mit Witz, List und «mit Zacken und mit Gabeln» widersetzen sich die Dorfbewohner:innen ihren grausamen, frühchristlichen Unterdrückern. «Als Menschenwölf' und Drachenweiber» verkleidet, jagen sie den strengen Sit- tenwächtern Furcht und Schrecken ein, um ihr Frühlings- und Reinigungsritual feiern zu können. Was für ein Text, welch packende Musik! Der Oratorienchor Winterthur und das Winterthurer JugendSinfonieOrchester spannen für dieses Spektakel, unter der Leitung von Guilherme Roberto, erstmals zusammen.
