vielseitig – überraschend – einfach genial

Überhaupt nicht alt – und schon gar nicht weiser – blechblasen sich die fünf Musiker des 2003 an der Zürcher Hochschule der Künste gegründeten Ensembles querbeet durch Klassik, Pop, Jazz, Funk und Volksmusik. Musikalität, Virtuosität und Klang, kombiniert mit ausgeprägter Spielfreude, ziehen seit Jahren in Bann. Mal ernst, meist heiter, präsentieren sie ihre Konzerte auf höchstem Niveau, mit Witz und Charme, überraschenden Arrangements und stilistischer Vielfalt.

Neun CD-Produktionen, Auszeichnungen sowie Auftritte im In- und Ausland zeugen von ihrer künstlerischen Bandbreite. 2022 entstand mit «Heidi & der Wolf» ein Bühnenprogramm mit Hörbilderbuch, 2023 feierten sie im Stadthaussaal Winterthur mit Gästen wie Nicolas Senn, Lisa Stoll oder Riklin & Schaub ihr 20-Jahre-Jubiläum. Die zwei neuesten Programme entstanden in Zusammenarbeit mit Regisseur Daniel Koller. In «O Tannenbaum» schwelgen die fünf Musiker in ihren Kindheitserinnerungen an das Weihnachtsfest und in «Glück» wagen sie Neues, vertrauen auf Bewährtes, feiern den Augenblick.
