Le Pli Strings vs. Le Pli Winds
In der mexikanischen Lucha Libre (Wrestling) – Kultur spielen zwei Traditionen oder Banden eine zentrale Rolle: die der «Máscaras» (Maskenträger) und die der «Cabelleras» (Luchador mit langen Haaren). Diese beiden gegenseitige Traditionen des Lucha Libres bilden den thematischen Rahmen für das Konzert des Ensembles Le Plis im Rahmen des Festivals für Lateinamerikanische Kammermusik «Las Noches» und als pädagogisches Konzert für Kinder und ihre Familien.
Im Programm werden mehrere mexikanischen Komponisten/innen aufgeführt. Werke für Streicher und Werke für Bläser werden diese zwei Seiten musikalisch darstellen. Die beiden Banden kommen schlussendlich als ein Kammerorchester zusammen.

In Mexican Lucha Libre (wrestling) culture, two traditions or factions play a central role: the Máscaras (masked wrestlers) and the Cabelleras (wrestlers with long hair). These two opposing traditions of Lucha Libre provide the thematic framework for the concert of the ensemble Le Pli within the Festival for Latin American Chamber Music Las Noches and as an educational concert for children and their families.
The program features works by several Mexican composers. Pieces for strings and pieces for winds will represent these two sides
