Completely inspired by the vibrant musicality of the Brazilian Northeast, this
forrobodó was born from a passionate visit to the maracatus, cocos and
forrós of Olinda (Pernambuco, Brazil) and its surroundings, from where the
artist Zé Leônidas returned with some songs and the will to lead the dance
on the guitar as if it were a ‘rabeca’.
After starting the project in São Paulo, the singer-songwriter found partners
from Pernambuco in Berlin to form the band with the genuine energy of
forró. Their repertoire includes classics by masters such as Luiz Gonzaga
and Dominguinhos, as well as their own songs.
