Das Bündner Barockorchester «le phénix» wagt sich auf den schmalen Grat zwischen Kunst und Kitsch. Barockmusik wurde nach ihrem Aussterben mit Bachs Tod auf verschiedene Arten wiederentdeckt: Harnoncourt mit seinem Ensemble Concentus Musicus näherte sich ab den 1960er Jahren der historischen Aufführungspraxis an. Gian Piero Reverberi ging einen anderen Weg, er gründete sein Ensemble «Rondò Veneziano» 1979, in mehr als 23 Jahren komponierte er über 100 Hits im Stile der venezianischen Barockmusik. Neben den Melodien ist auch das Ensemble in Rokokokostümen in Erinnerung. Klassik und Pop, zwei Musikgenres, die unterschiedlicher nicht sein können. Kein anderes Ensemble ist eine derartige künstlerische Symbiose zwischen barocker Klassik und moderner Musik eingegangen. Im heutigen Konzert stehen sich Barock und «Moderne» live gegenüber, «le phénix» beleuchtet historisch informiert die Historie und reist ins Venedig des frühen 18. Jahrhunderts: zwei Solokonzerte von Antonio Vivaldi, je eines für Oboe und eines für Gitarre. Das Orchester musiziert auf den für die barocke Besetzung üblichen Instrumenten (Oboe, Streicher, Gitarre, Cembalo), wechselt aber auch auf «Pop-Instrumente» (Gitarre, E-Bass, Keyboard und Schlagzeug).
