The English Theatre Group of Zug invites you to a special evening full of intrigue, suspense and laughter, combined with a delicious 3-course dinner at the reknowned Restaurant Pöstli in Rifferswil - a picturesque country village near Hausen am Albis..
You will be transported back in time to a monastery in 14th century Italy. The 3-act play, The Rose and its Name, is a spoof on the famous murder mystery novel, The Name of the Rose.
A gathering of church leaders, monks and nuns have assembled at a remote monastery. But no sooner has the council begun than tragedy strikes. A member of the group is found dead under mysterious circumstances.
The truth is buried beneath layers of suspicion, deception, and long-forgotten history and we need your help to uncover it. Question the suspects, follow the clues and evidence, and see if you can use your wits to solve the mystery before the final revelation. There will be a prize for the table that can identify both the murderer and their motive.

- Starter for all - mixed salad with homemade dressing
- Meat main course - homemade meatloaf with a creamy brown sauce with vegetables and pan-fried potatoes
- Vegi main course - homemade ravioli with a pumpkin filling
- Dessert for all - apple strudel with vanilla sauce
