This taster session is a beginner-friendly improv meetup with a fun nerdy twist! Using tabletop role-playing games (TTRPGs) like Dungeons & Dragons as inspiration, we’ll explore collaborative storytelling, characters, and imaginary worlds through fun, accessible improv exercises.
If you play (or run) TTRPGs, this workshop focuses on the improv skills that help when the story goes off the rails like staying in character, making bold choices, and building scenes together. If you’re new to TTRPGs, you’re still very welcome; no prior improv or gaming experience is required, just a willingness to play and imagine together.
We’ll practice core improv tools like “yes, and,” listening, quick decision-making, and scene-building using familiar game-style scenarios, plus warm-up games you can bring back to your own table. No character sheets or stat blocks required ;)
If we have enough interest, we will turn this into a 5-week-course starting the following week.
This taster session is led by Nathalie, an improviser and nerd who loves supporting collaborative play and getting lost in imaginative worlds. Moonlights as a GM when the scheduling gods allow.
The session takes place in the Kellertheater of the GZ Buchegg, Bucheggstr. 93, Zürich.
Be there at 18.50h and call Nathalie at 077 448 54 98 if you have trouble finding it.
