Snowshoe Hike

Dear Erasmi,
Join us for a panoramic snowshoe hike with beautiful views of the Selibühl summit and surrounding snowy mountains! We will depart from Bern Bahnhof and set off from Gurnigel on an easy loop trail. This hike is open to all experience levels.

REGISTRATION: Will be opened on Tuesday, 24th of February, at 18:00.

WHERE: Meeting point at the Bern train station under the big departure screen. 

WHEN: The event takes place on Sunday, 1st of March 2026 at 7:50 and we will be back in Bern at 15:00.

PRICES:

With GA:

-with ESNcard: 11 CHF

-without ESNcard: 16 CHF

With Halbtax/no train reduction :

-with ESNcard: 21 CHF

-without ESN card: 26 CHF

Tickets include: train tickets and snowshoe rental (these go around your own boots) 

Tickets DO NOT include: food, drinks 

Important Info: This event takes place in the snow so please wear appropriate  waterproof clothing (winter jacket, gloves and hat, impermeable layers) as well as good waterproof snow boots (no sneakers). Note that in case of no or too little snow this event will happen anyway, but as hike instead. We will inform you in that case. Don't your forget lunch, snacks and water.

ESN card discount

The ticket options “with ESN card” are available at a special reduced price for holders of the ESN card. Please only purchase a ticket from this category if you own a valid ESN card or if you plan to buy one in the near future. You may buy a card from ESN Bern for 15.- CHF. It is valid for one year and will give you discounts at our activities. Note that the card needs to be filled with your personal information and that it will be checked at the beginning of each activity.

GA

The “Generalabonnement” (GA) by the swiss train company SBB is a monthly or yearly subscription that grants holders unlimited travel on almost all trains. This is not handled by ESN. Please only buy a ticket from the category “with GA” if you own this train subscription from SBB. Halbtax (Half fare), GA Night and local transportation subscriptions are irrelevant for this ticket option.

Liability Message

Participation in the ESN Bern program takes place at your own risk. The university and ESN Bern accept no liability for accidents that occur during ESN Bern activities. Adequate insurance cover is the responsibility of the participants.

You agree to allow ESN Bern to publish, copyright, and use pictures of yourself in print and electronic formats such as social media channels, publications, videos, and websites.

You understand that you will not receive payment or other compensation for that. If you do not wish your pictures to be taken or published by ESN Bern - it is your responsibility to opt out and consequently inform the responsible event organisers before the event starts.

Participating to the ESN Bern events you agree to behave accordingly to the ESN Switzerland Code of Conduct.

Refund policy

 Please understand that ESN Bern cannot issue refunds on any tickets sold due to multiple reasons. You are allowed to resell the ticket for the same price to fellow students / ESN members (with the same train reductions). Please note that selling tickets with a profit is forbidden. Also note that the illness insurance is provided by Eventfrog and ESN has nothing to do with it.
