WHO IS JAINIL?
Jainil Mehta, a 25-year-old dancer and choreographer from Mumbai, India, considers himself a global citizen, frequently traveling between the U.S. and India. He holds a BFA in Dance from the University of Southern California and, with over five years of professional experience and a lifelong passion for dance since the age of five, is shaping his journey in dance composition and education.
He has previously been a company member of the Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company in New York and was selected as a choreographer for Joffrey Ballet’s Winning Works 2024. Currently, he is developing his unique movement style, J-Flow. Jainil also runs an online learning subscription platform, called I AM HOME, showcasing his choreographies, and has founded Rasa, his own gender-neutral clothing brand.
With a growing Instagram community of over 280K, Jainil is known for challenging gender norms through the #MenInSkirts movement. His work has been widely recognized, with features in various media.
While also being a social media influencer, he has taught many dance classes online and in person across India as well as Pakistan, China, Singapore, United Kingdom, Europe, Australia and the United States to over 1000+ students.
