Synopsis: After the death of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, his son Sambhaji becomes the new king and continues the fight against the Mughal Empire, showing that the Maratha resistance is still strong despite Aurangzeb’s expectations. Even while facing betrayal from some courtiers and constant attacks from the Mughals, Sambhaji defeats the traitors and keeps fighting using guerrilla warfare. Later, he is betrayed by his own relatives, captured by the Mughals at Sangameshwar along with his friend Kavi Kalash, and refuses Aurangzeb’s offer to surrender. After suffering severe torture and dying bravely, his sacrifice inspires the Marathas to continue fighting, and his wife Yesubai crowns Rajaram as the next Chhatrapati.
