Workshop Flow
Day 1 — Exploration & Shaping
Friday, 6.02.2026 | 15:00–20:00
The first day focuses on exploration and direction. We begin with an introduction to shapes, proportions, and styles, after which you choose the hat design you wish to explore. A range of head bodies and traditional wooden hat blocks will be available. Participants are welcome to contact me in advance if they have a specific idea, so the best foundation can be prepared.
You will work with the damp felt technique, shaping your hat by hand on the block. This stage is about understanding the material and allowing the form to develop intuitively, with continuous individual guidance. After the session, the hat rests and dries, preparing it for completion on day two.
Thoughtfully prepared food by King David Villa is included.
Day 2 — Finishing & Completion
Saturday, 7.02.2026 | 12:00–19:00
The second day is dedicated to finishing your hat. You will finalize the shape, add the lining, adjust fit and proportions, and work on details if desired. This is where craftsmanship and personal style come fully together.
The workshop concludes in a warm, celebratory atmosphere, followed by a content-focused photoshoot of your finished hat. Beautiful food by King David Villa is again included. Accommodation
