Jazz-Konzert mit dem LaMarotte Swingtett

Das LaMarotte Swingtett entstand 2001 kurz nach der Gründung des Kellertheaters LaMarotte in Affoltern am Albis. Inzwischen ist die Veranstaltungsreihe "Jazz am Donnerstag" mit ihrem eigenen Charme zu einem Muss für alle Jazzbegeisterten und für unterschiedliche Jazzmusiker geworden.

Das schlagzeuglose Swingtett ist mit den Stilen der 30er- is 50er- Jahre bestens vertraut. Der Swingsound orientiert sich sowohl an den legendären schlagzeuglosen "Hot Mallets" von Isla Eckinger als auch an innovativen Swingcombos wie den "Spirits of Rhythm" oder dem grossen Django Reinhardt.

Ob Ellington, Basie, Goodman, Raritäten oder Eigenes:
