«Lurker Moxie Heart» is a format created by the artist group Slow Reading Club (Henry Andersen and Bryana Fritz). «Lurker Moxie Heart» is dedicated to fan fiction.
With Live Drums by Christian Wolfarth.

Fanfiction is a form of derivative literature written in the fervor of fandom. It's author moves their way into existing narratives, stories, and plotlines, rerouting the directions of desire and the outcomes of the story as it was initially told. As a writing practice it is a space in which stories may seep into one another, erotic desires may be realised, continuity can be jumbled, authorship is opened to doubt. Fan fiction is friendlier than appropriation, more fun than plagiarism, more radical than critique.

For «Lurker Moxie Heart,» Slow Reading Club and «Texte zum Nachdenken» asked ten artists from their circle to read a fan fiction text of their choice. Each reader is invited to read aloud a found fanfiction text of their choice. Anything—in any language—that tickles your fancy from the internet’s vast trove of fan work. Readers are asked to limit their selections to one story, from around 3-10 mins. The readings are accompanied by the jazz drummer Christian Wolfahrt on a special set-up.

The event will be held in English.
