𝗠𝗔𝗬𝗙𝗟𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗥 𝗠𝗔𝗗𝗔𝗠𝗘 – Oslo, Norway

Coming all the way from Oslo, Norway, Mayflower Madame have established themselves as one of the most distinctive bands in the European post-punk and psych-gaze scene.

Their unmistakable sound combines pulsating post-punk, shimmering shoegaze and atmospheric psych-noir, creating a captivating musical universe filled with haunting melodies, hypnotic rhythms, dreamy melancholy and dark romanticism.

With their debut album Observed in a Dream (2016), Mayflower Madame quickly attracted international attention and embarked on tours throughout Europe and North America. Their second album, Prepared for a Nightmare (2020), further established their reputation for combining the darker elements of 1980s post-punk with psychedelic textures and an unmistakably contemporary sound.

In November 2024, the band released their highly acclaimed third album, Insight, mixed and mastered by Maurizio Baggio, known for his work with The Soft Moon, Boy Harsher and The Vacant Lots.

Across nine beautifully crafted songs, Insight takes listeners on a hypnotic journey through darkness and melancholy, while remaining remarkably melodic, dynamic and compelling. The album received widespread critical acclaim and international radio support, further strengthening the band's reputation well beyond their Norwegian home.

In 2026, Mayflower Madame expanded this musical journey with a Deluxe Version of Insight, featuring previously unreleased material.

Renowned for their intense and atmospheric live performances, the band have captivated audiences across numerous countries, bringing their distinctive combination of hypnotic energy and emotional depth to stages throughout Europe and beyond.

Mayflower Madame are:

Trond Fagernes – Vocals / Guitar
Rune Øverby – Guitar
Petter G. Marberg – Bass
Ola J. Kyrkjeeide – Drums

And there is a very personal reason why we are particularly delighted to welcome Mayflower Madame to our 10th anniversary edition. 🖤

When our festival organiser Thomas first experienced Mayflower Madame live at Der Schwarze Ball in Zürich in November 2025, their performance left him deeply moved and completely won over. For him, the four Norwegians were the absolute musical highlight of the evening.

An exceptionally warm and heartfelt conversation with the band immediately after their concert eventually led to something very special: the opportunity to welcome Mayflower Madame to our anniversary festival.

Keeping this wonderful secret for almost an entire year certainly wasn't easy! ❤️🖤

We are therefore absolutely delighted that Mayflower Madame will be part of our Sounds from the Heart Festival 2027 – 10th Anniversary Edition, and we can hardly wait to experience their extraordinary music together with all of you in the Big Hall / Grosser Saal at Dynamo Zürich! 💘

More bands and surprises to be announced!

As always, every band at Sounds from the Heart is carefully selected for both their music and the wonderful people behind it.

There are no support acts at our festival. Every band deserves its place on the big stage, and every band is a headliner in its own right. 🖤

For our 10th anniversary, we are also planning a few additional surprises to make the festival experience even more memorable.
