After several smaller residencies in Zurich, Bern, and Lucerne, the first full-length piece of WIRREN premiered in 2021 at Gessnerallee. In autumn 2024, the second piece was unveiled at Dampfzentrale Bern. Now we return to Zurich — WIRREN 2 will be presented three times in mid-September in the industrial setting of Zitrone Manegg.
At its core, WIRREN is a composition brought to life by performers whose distinctive playing both shapes and defines the overall sound. The work becomes a body within space: each instrument and tone merging into a collective resonance. The voices are not independent, but understood as fragments of a greater whole. The audience moves freely within this living soundscape.
