On Friday, November 22, join us at The Beast Comedy Club—Switzerland's first-ever comedy club, opened by Basel’s beloved comedian Albert Louw—for an unforgettable evening of comedy featuring award-winning British comedian Adam Bloom as our headliner! We are thrilled to bring Adam Bloom all the way from the UK to perform at this special venue. The club, which opens its doors with an inaugural party on October 9th, is set to become a cornerstone of Switzerland's comedy scene.

Adam Bloom is a comedy legend, having performed seven sold-out solo shows at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival, completed a national sold-out UK tour, and entertained over 42,000 people across Canada. Now, he's bringing his brilliant wit to Basel for one night only!

In his debut performance in Switzerland, Adam brings with him a wealth of experience, having performed for 42,000 people at comedy festivals and selling out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe. He has also taken the stage at some of the UK’s most iconic venues, including London’s legendary Comedy Store.

Endorsed by comedy legends, Adam has not only performed live but also written for some of the most famous comedians. In just eight months, he authored a book that became one of the top-selling comedy books on Amazon worldwide!

About Sparkle Comedy Club:

For over a year, Elena D’Ambrosio and Lev Meniker have been lighting up Basel with Sparkle Comedy Club’s diverse and inclusive shows. From open mics to showcases, solo performances, and variety shows, they’ve brought their unique brand of comedy to venues like Klara, Basso, Fassbar, and Sudhaus. Their passion for inclusivity is showcased in collaborations with Funny Women UK and their variety shows, which have featured everything from musical acts and burlesque to science slams and more.

About Elena:

Elena has performed in Switzerland, Paris, London, and Lisbon, honing her skills through comedy courses, most recently completing the Angel Comedy course in London under Dec Munro’s direction.

About Lev:

Lev’s comedy has taken him across Switzerland, New York, London, and Luxembourg. He’s currently working on his solo show, Done by Hand, which will next be performed at Klara on December 8.

About Teddy Hall:

After cutting his teeth as a comedian in London, Teddy has spent the last five years performing across Europe. His sharp, unpredictable comedy delves into everything from language and mental health to sexuality and, unexpectedly, dentists. He has headlined shows across Europe and appeared on TV in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, and Romania.

About Albert Louw:

Originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, Albert brings his unique and eccentric comedy to the stage with stories ranging from wildlife tales to quirky theories about civilization. Based in Basel, he hosts and headlines comedy shows, and has opened for international acts like Arthur Smith and Barry Hilton. Known for his high-energy performances, Albert’s comedy is always unpredictable and filled with vibrant characters.
