my home is not my home is a participatory performance ritual on alienation, faith and belonging. Amid a paradise-lost iconography of lipsticks, fairy lights, bananas and old cassette players, Madonna and Jesus return as trash prophets. Galiläakirche becomes their temporary home. Together with the audience, they enact sinister acts of devotion, blessings for queer bodies, prayers for the outcasts, and rites of liberation and resistance.
Drawing from lived encounters with people at the margins, my home is not my home is a ballad for all those homesick for a better world.

Since then, it has evolved through a series of intimate and site-specific iterations in Berlin before touring the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe, where Total Theatre described it as "truly radical“.
Founded in 2014 by Anna Valeska Pohl and Michael Pöpperl, bambule.babys is a Berlin-based queer feminist performance collective working between performance art, physical theatre and experimental film.
