Everyone is scrolling past thousands of words every day. When was the last time a word actually stayed on one’s mind?
This evening is an invitation to slow down and reconnect with the meaning of language, writing, and how we express ourselves. Together with Wodcast, a UK-based project from Ben Aston and Mabel Evens devoted to the beauty and depth of words, The Offline Club Zürich creates a space where language isn’t just content, but connection. Because words shape how we see the world and how we see each other.
The evening begins with a guided word session encouraging the participants creative writing: from forgotten words to personal favorites, from inspiring questions to shared moments. This is followed by individual reflection, writing – and maybe even sharing. Most importantly participants are present with their own thoughts. No phones. No distractions.
The Offline Club Zürich creates screen-free spaces for genuine human connection beyond digital noise. It has the goal of countering digital overload and fostering meaningful, present interactions. All ages and backgrounds are welcome.
