Survival Rituals is an international contemporary art exhibition presented during Basel Art Week 2026, bringing together artists who navigate the threshold between worlds — where old systems have already dissolved and new realities have yet to take form.
Drawing on the biomechanical vision of H. R. Giger as its conceptual anchor, the exhibition explores the fragile, strange, and deeply human practices we invent to endure: our merging with technology, the isolations we carry, the myths we reach for, and the bodies that bear it all.
The exhibition will also feature works by Nina Murashkina (in collaboration with Xavier Escala), Artem Humilevskyi, Myriam De Wurstemberger, WaOne (Interesni Kazki) and other international contemporary artists.
