The Junction are a power trio from the Padua area (Italy): Marco Simioni (guitar, vocals), Alessandro Maroso (bass, backing vocals), and Francesco Reffo (drums, vocals). They play indie rock with a punk attitude, noise-pop edges, and a garage spirit. Their sound is deeply rooted in the 80s and 90s alternative and noise scenes (Sonic Youth, Pixies, Pavement, Brainiac, Mission of Burma, Built to Spill), with clear post-punk influences (Gang of Four, The Fall, Idles, and beyond). On stage, they channel the raw energy and vibrations of their instruments into intense, high-energy live performances. The band has released three LPs along with several singles and EPs, and has toured extensively across Italy and Europe (France, Germany, the UK, Switzerland, Austria). New music has been released steadily since June 2025, leading up to their self-titled album THE JUNCTION, out 20 March 2026.
