As summer lingers into September, we celebrate the start of the 'Wine Chapters' series at wineBANK Zürich, with a walk-around exploration of Méthode Traditionnelle from twelve expressions across eleven countries of origin.
This is not a standard tasting. Guests move freely, glass in hand, as we guide them through twelve sparkling wines — each one a different voice, a different terroir, a different take on the same ancient method. One wine at a time, one perfectly matched bite at a time.
Twelve sparkling wines, all produced by the Méthode Traditionnelle, sourced from eleven origins available in Switzerland: Champagne — France, Sekt — Germany, Cava — Spain, Pezsgő — Hungary, Sparkling — Croatia, Franciacorta — Italy, Schaumwein — Switzerland, Sparkling — United Kingdom, Sparkling — USA, Cap Classique — South Africa
A walk-around tasting with a relaxed, social atmosphere. Guests are guided through each wine in sequence — one wine, one bite, one story. A long sharing platter is placed at the centre of each table, carrying one precisely matched finger food bite per wine. As each wine is introduced and poured, guests are invited to reach for the corresponding bite.
The pairing is tasted together with fingerfood: wine first, then food, then the conversation that follows
