Explore the art of long-form improvisation through character depth, transformation, and ensemble play.
This class focuses on building vivid, compelling characters and discovering how they connect across scenes within the circular structure of La Ronde. Through repetition, relationships, and emotional truth, you’ll learn to create a world of interconnected stories that culminates in a public performance. You need Storylabor Levels 1–3 as a prerequisite or equivalent experience. If unsure whether you have it, please get in touch.
You will practise:

Build memorable characters through voice, physicality, status, and point of view

Explore relationship dynamics and how characters evolve through connection

Create seamless transitions between scenes using the La Ronde structure

Develop callbacks, recurring patterns, and thematic character arcs

Strengthen ensemble awareness and trust through shared storytelling

Perform long-form improvisation with confidence, clarity, and emotional depth
