How does the vaginal microbiome affect your (and your partner’s) sexual and reproductive health?

Join us in an interactive workshop to learn about health and the vaginal microbiome, with guest speaker Prof. Dr. Sonja Merten, who will present the Marie Project, a citizen science study on the vaginal microbiome. Together with Prof Merten, Ethel Mendocilla Sato and Monica Ticlla from the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH), and the University of Zurich (UZH), we will go on a journey through our body to break the taboo and facilitate discussions around our personal experiences and intimate health. And of course, there will be pizza!

Topics we will explore:

  • The taboo around sexual and vaginal health
  • The influence of sexual partners on each others microbiomes
  • Body mapping, a tool for identifying and sharing our own bodily experiences.
